This is my first christmas on my own. That is, I’m no longer living with parents. This would also be the first christmas that I don’t have money to get anyone anything. Before I had a job, or my parents would give me money to go shopping with. This year I have nothing. I have to quit school indefinitely. If it were up to my parents, I would be dragged across the country to be with them, away from my friends and family and boyfriend.
